MORE GOOD NEWS – MEA HAS SECURED AN ADDITIONAL 5% ICC FIRE INSPECTION VOLUNTARY CERTIFICATION PAY
As a follow up to MEA’s earlier E-blast regarding contract negotiations, MEA’s Tentative Agreement (TA) with the City includes a 5% Voluntary Certification Pay that all Inspector job classifications (Combination Inspector I, Combination Inspector II, Senior Combination Inspector, Life Safety Inspector I, Life Safety Inspector II, Senior Life Safety Inspector, Mechanical Inspector I, Mechanical Inspector II, Senior Mechanical Inspector, Electrical Inspector I, Electrical Inspector II, Senior Electrical Inspector, Structural Inspector I, Structural Inspector II, Senior Structural Inspector) will be eligible for.
If you obtain, or already have obtained, ICC Fire Inspection Certification in any of the following disciplines you will be eligible to receive an additional 5% in pay:
- Fire Sprinkler Systems
- Fire Inspection
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Commercial Building Inspector
This Voluntary Certification Pay is in addition to the 21% General Salary Increase!
