Important Information About Retirement Board Election – Please Vote Today!

General City of San Diego employees have two employee representatives on the San Diego City Employees Retirement System (SDCERS) Board of Directors.  Voting is now open for new four-year terms for those two seats.

If you were hired before July of 2012, you are a member of SDCERS and are eligible to vote.  If you are eligible to vote, SDCERS mailed you a letter on January 25th and you should have already received it or will receive it soon.  That letter explains the voting process, lists information about the candidates and contains a unique validation number that you will need to cast your vote.

There are four candidates competing for the two General Board Member seats, and MEA strongly recommends Thomas P. Battaglia and Tammy L. Williams for the SDCERS Board.  Both are highly qualified, serve on MEA’s Board of Directors, and they are the only two MEA-represented employees running for the Board.  Please mark your ballot for Thomas P. Battaglia and Tammy L. Williams for SDCERS Board today!

If you need any assistance voting you can contact the SDCERS elections help line at 866-720-4357 or email SDCERShelp@electionservicescorp.com.  Votes must be cast by February 11th.  Thank you for taking the time to vote and for supporting Tom and Tammy for the SDCERS Board.
