Voting for YOUR Pension Board Representative – Election is Now Open

Employees hired before July 20, 2012 are eligible to vote in the election for a new SDCERS Board Trustee representing general members at the City of San Diego.  (If you were hired after July 20, 2012, unfortunately you are not eligible to vote in this election…but you will in the near future once Prop B is finally unwound!)

Eligible voters will soon be receiving a letter in the mail explaining the voting process and information about the two candidates.  Please do not throw this letter away, as you will need the unique validation number it contains in order to cast your vote.

MEA strongly recommends voting for THOMAS BATTAGLIA.  Tom is an MEA-represented employee in the Department of Finance and has previously served as an SDCERS Board member.  Tom is exceptionally qualified for this role and we ask you to please take the time to vote and to cast your vote for Tom Battaglia!

Voting can be done by phone or online – specific information about the voting process is contained in the letter you will receive.  You can also contact the SDCERS elections line at 1-866-720-4357 or email SDCERShelp@electionservicescorp.com for assistance.  Votes must be cast by December 16, 2021.
