SECOND “MEA NIGHT AT THE PADRES” GAME TICKETS GO ON SALE TODAY AT 9:00 AM ONLY BY CALLING MEA

Tickets for the Friday, July 28 MEA Night at the Padres game (Padres vs. Texas Rangers at 6:40 p.m.) will go on sale today beginning at 9:00 a.m. ONLY by calling MEA at 619-264-6632.

Please read this entire email as some of our procedures are different than in previous years.  If you purchased tickets to the first game (June 16), you are NOT eligible to purchase tickets for this game.

MEA has secured the rooftop of the Western Metal Supply Building, which can accommodate 500 people with plenty of room to mingle and enjoy the beautiful view from the highest point of Petco Park.  Each ticket also includes hot dogs, sliders, nachos, popcorn, peanuts, and sodas, as well as a seat in the upper deck of the ballpark right next to the Western Metal Supply Building.

MEA covers most of the cost of these tickets and food. MEA members pay only $25 per ticket to attend and may purchase up to two tickets total (one for the member and one guest).

Please note that tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE.  Non-transferable means that members cannot sell or give their tickets to anyone else, including other members.  This is not meant to be overly restrictive but is being done simply to ensure that as many MEA members as possible can attend each game.

Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and are expected to sell out at some point later today.

In order to be as fair as possible to all members regardless of work location or ability to leave work or travel, tickets for both games will only be available by calling MEA and securing your tickets on the phone with an MEA representative.  You can pay over the phone with a credit or debit card and then pick up the physical tickets between July 10 and July 26 from MEA’s Kearny Mesa offices between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at your convenience.

Walk-ins to MEA’s offices will NOT be permitted to purchase tickets in person.  We apologize to those of you who have done it this way in the past, but again we are just trying to give every member a fair chance to secure tickets.

MEA’s phone lines will be answered by a number of staff members.  If you get a voicemail recording or busy signal, we are on the other line helping another member.  Please hang up and keep trying and do NOT leave a voice message, as we will only be selling tickets to members who we actually speak with on the phone until we are sold out.
