MEA Letter of Support for California Senate Bill 362

MEA has sent a letter to California State Senator Cathleen Galgiani in support of Senate Bill 362.  SB 362 would provide City of San Diego Code Enforcement Officers DMV confidentiality, meaning that individuals could not access a Code Enforcement Officer’s home address through DMV records.

Although MEA has previously sought confidentiality for our Code Enforcement Officers, the City has been unwilling to provide this well-deserved protection.  SB 362 would obligate the City to protect the confidentiality of our Code Enforcement Officers which is why we support this bill.

Please feel free to download and read MEA’s letter to Senator Galgiani by clicking on the link in the upper right titled, “Letter of Support for SB 362.”  MEA will continue to advocate on behalf of our Code Enforcement Officers who conduct the City’s business in a professional manner on a daily basis.  If you have any questions, or need more information, please don’t hesitate to call MEA at 619-264-6632.
