Nick joined the San Diego Municipal Employees Association as a Labor Relations Officer in 2017 and became the Director of Labor Relations in 2026. Nick is responsible for the Representational Team focusing on employment related matters, collective bargaining, contract negotiations, grievances and compliance/enforcement of MEA’s MOU.
Nick spent 18 years in emergency services with the Cities of Chula Vista and San Diego, finishing his career as the Emergency Command and Data Center Training Coordinator for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. He also previously served over 20 years in various member roles with SEIU Local-221 and MEA.
