UPDATE –5% SPECIAL SALARY INCREASE FOR CLAIMS CLERKS – TO BE IMPLEMENTED ON JULY 1, 2023

As a follow up to MEA’s earlier E-blast regarding the special salary increase for the Claims Clerk job classification, the implementation date has changed.  Now the Claims Clerk job classification will be receiving their 5% special salary increase on July 1, 2023!

This means that all Claims Clerks will be receiving a total increase of 15% in the first seven months of this contract.

Claims Clerks will receive the following general and special salary increases over the 3-year term of this agreement:

 

Year 1 (FY 2024) – 15%

July 1, 2023: 5% (general salary increase)

July 1, 2023: 5% (special salary increase)

January 1, 2024: 5% (general salary increase)

 

Year 2 (FY 2025) – 6%

July 1, 2024: 4% (general salary increase)

January 1, 2025: 2% (general salary increase)

 

Year 3 (FY 2026) – 5%

July 1, 2025: 5% (general salary increase)

 

Please be ready for the upcoming contract ratification vote by MEA’s membership tomorrow on May 2.  Your participation will be critical to ensure that these pay increases are approved and implemented.
